Gilvam dos santos
Gilvam dos Santos is the founder and managing member of GFS Tax & Accounting Services. Gilvam holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Intituto Brasileiro de Contabilidade and a Master Degree in Finance from Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais – IBMEC. Gilvam’s experience spans 40 years across accounting, auditing and taxation and includes spells at three of the “Big 4” accounting companies (EY, PwC, and KPMG).
Gilvam started his career at Ernst & Young (formerly Ernst & Whiney). He held various role with escalating responsibilities, including a final role as the Supervisor of External Financial Auditing. After Ernst Young, Gilvam held roles at Atlantic Richfield (Manager of Internal Financial Auditing), PwC (Financial Outsourcing Services Manager, Brasil Telecom (Revenue Assurance Division Manager), and KPMG (Financial Consultant General Manager). Gilvam is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. He is a registered Public Notary and a Registered Tax Return Preparer.
Juliana MACHADO
Juliana dos Santos Machado, is a Senior Accountant at GFS Tax & Accounting Services. Juliana obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Florida. Juliana has over 7 years of experience in the accounting industry. During this time, she has gathered extensive knowledge in practicing before the IRS and the State, proving to be a great asset to GFS Tax & Accounting Services. Juliana is also a registered Public Notary and a Certified Acceptance Agent for the IRS.
Juliana’s responsibilities include preparation of financial statements and tax returns, client representation before State, and Federal Tax Audits. Juliana’s friendly and caring personality, hands on experience, and educational knowledge ensure that clients are in great hands.
